RIVERSIDE, Calif. – In Trinity Western's first match of their 2026 preseason schedule, the Spartans lost 3-0 against UC Riverside Tuesday evening at the UCR Soccer Stadium.

"Overall, I liked some of the way we played. When we play on the front foot, we played some good soccer at times. We were naive and made a couple of illy mistakes and got punished by good finishes. I thought we deserved one, if not two, penalty kicks but it was a good contest despite missing some key veterans. We got to play a lot of new players which was helpful. I thought (second-year) Kate Paukovic and (first-year) Reese Leronowich were both very good tonight."
