Justin Kibet Kiplagat (Nairobi, Kenya) finished 9th in the Men's Open 8K with a time of 25:16.20 at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational. Fifth-year
David Mutai (Eldoret, Kenya) followed in 14th with a time of 25:32.20. The Trinity Western Spartans men's cross-country team left Tacoma, Washington with fourth-place at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational at the PLU Cross Country Course.
The Spartans finished fourth, just eight points out of third-place with 94 points.

"Today, we had teams run the first 3/4 of the race at threshold pace, so the results are a bit skewed from what we'd expect. Next week at WWU will be the first race that will show us where we're really at. The final 2k of both races, however, demonstrated the level of fitness that our teams possess. This is a good sign of things to come."
