Jamie Sinclair

Jamie Sinclair (Glasgow, Scotland) joined TWU Track and Field Coaching staff in 2017. Under Sinclair, TWU has continued its strong tradition in the sprints and poles vault with the Spartans regularly medalling at both the conference and national championship competitions.

Under the tutelage of Sinclair, TWU has had two male athletes clear five metres, with David Boyd going over 5.15m and Giovanni Hernandez clearing 5.08m in competition, and one female athlete clear four metres, with Madison Evans vaulting 4.00m in competition. 

On the track, Sinclair coached British sprinter Praise Olatoke to a TWU record 6.75 in the 60m and 20.95 in teh 200m, helping Olatoke improve his 60m personal record from 6.96 to 6.75 and his 200m personal record from 22.08 to 20.95. 
 
A former Spartan athlete himself, Sinclair was a five-time Canada West medalist in pole vault and sprint relays. Sinclair was also selected for Scotland’s U20 team and for the Scottish schools team between 2017-2018.

Sinclair Lives in Langley with his wife Ivonne, who is also a former TWU Spartan athlete, and their three kids Nicholas, Emma and Mattias.
