David Jackson

David Jackson

Jackson joined the Spartans coaching staff in 2018.

Jackson, who has trained under Olympians Jon Brown and Bruce Deacon, has experience competing within U SPORTS, having ran for the University of Victoria from 2006 to 2008. He arrived at TWU having taught at MEI since 2010 and coached in the Lower Mainland for several years.

Beyond his university experience, Jackson represented Canada in the Toronto Marathon in 2009, finishing first amongst Canadians and 13th overall. In 2011, he finished sixth overall and was the third fastest Canadian at the Vancouver Sun Run.

Jackson is the founder and coach of the Abbotsford Running Club and is a director and instructor of sports camps with Athletes in Action.

He earned a Master of Arts in Physical Education from the University of Victoria in 2009. He has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ottawa (2001) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brock University (2000).
