Sabrina Nettey

Sabrina Nettey joined the TWU Track & Field Coaching Staff in 2018 as the Horizontal Jumps Coach. Nettey has had immediate success with the program, coaching Mowa Adeleye and Denzel Brown to Canada West gold medals in triple jump in 2018, as well as Rachel Jerome to a Canada West bronze medal in Long Jump. Adeleye also earned U SPORTS silver medals in triple jump in both 2018 and 2019. 

Nettey is certified as an NCCP Club Coach Cand has coached with the Universal Athletics Club in Surrey, B.C. since 2015. She currently leads their jumps program. In 2017, she served as an Assistant Coach at the BC Summer Games.

Nettey is also the Introductory Programs Coordinator with BC Athletics, working to expanding youth opportunities and participation in Track & Field and Cross Country throughout B.C.

Nettey returned to TWU as a former Spartan. During her Spartan career, Nettey specialized in the sprints and jumps. She set the Canada West long jump record and, in 2014, was named the Canada West Field Athlete of the Year. Nettey also represented Canada at the FISU World Student Games, North American-Central American U-23 Championships and the World Youth Championships.  

Nettey holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Trinity Western University (2015).
