SPARTANS FINISH WESTCOAST CLASSIC UNBEATEN

LANGLEY, British Columbia - The Trinity Western Spartans finished the West Coast Classic volleyball tournament unbeaten with an impressive three wins this weekend's at the Langley Events Centre. 

The Spartans only dropped one set in their three matches defeating the Calgary Dinos 3-0, the Mount Royal Cougars 3-1 and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack 3-0. 

"West Coast Classic was a great weekend of evaluating where we are as a team and what our focus needs to be for the next two weeks before league begins," commented TWU head coach Ryan Hofer.  "We made some improvements from our China tour and are getting better each match we play.  I am looking forward to the next two weeks of training and prep before league starts. "   

The Spartans will open up Canada West league play in Brandon against the Bobcats on October 16 and October 17. TWU's home openers are against Winnipeg on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24.
