EDMONTON – The Trinity Western women's volleyball team won its second match in a row at the Griffins/Pandas Invitational, knocking off Mount Royal 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-16) Friday.
After a five-set win over McMaster Thursday, the Spartans win put them at 2-0 in the Edmonton-based event, which is hosted between MacEwan University and the University of Alberta
"The team played really well tonight," said Spartans coach Ryan Hofer. "We had a variety of lineups and we just worked through a lot of different things. Brie (O'Reilly, Langley, B.C.) did a great job of distributing the ball and working with the different people we were rolling out there. We also served really well, which was great to see because it's something we've really been working on."
