PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia – The Trinity Western Spartans dropped their Canada West men's basketball match up 101-58 to the UNBC Timberwolves Friday night at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre, in Prince George, British Columbia. The loss keeps TWU winless at 0-7, while the win improve UNBC to 4-1.
Fifth year guard Vartan Tanielian (Byblos, Lebanon) led the Spartans with 21 points. UNBC, who had seven players in double-digit scoring, were led by Saje Gosal with 16 points and Vaggelis Loukas with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Spartans came out slow and fell behind 31-13 at the end of the opening quarter. The Timberwolves expanded their lead to 47-23 at half time. TWU was unable to rally in the second half as UNBC took a 71-38 lead into the fourth quarter.

"We really has a hard time scoring the ball. I give UBCO a lot of credit. They were the more physical team. I thought that our guys did what they could to hang together, however, we need to decide to play with more purpose and sell out to the defensive end."
