LANGLEY, B.C. – Fresh off a four-point weekend, the Spartans men's soccer team is once again at home, playing host to the UFV Cascades Friday at Chase Office Field before going to Abbotsford, B.C. Sunday for the rematch.

THE WEEKEND STORY
- The Spartans (7-4-1) sit third in the Pacific Division, coming off a draw (Oct. 4) and win (Oct. 5) at home against UNBC last weekend.
- TWU is now 6-1-1 over their last eight games and will look to keep their hot streak alive against their Fraser Valley rivals.
- The Cascades come to town after a bye last weekend, losing 3-2 to Thompson Rivers in their last game (Sept. 29).
- UFV will be eager for points, currently sitting just outside the playoff pictures with a 3-4-4 record.
- TWU goalkeeper Sebastian Colyn's (Langley, B.C.) six shutouts currently lead Canada West, while his shutout over UNBC on Saturday (Oct. 5) placed him in the top 10 all-time in Canada West history, with 13.
- TWU is 16-11-2 all-time against UFV, with the Spartans victorious in their last meeting – a 3-2 victory in Abbotsford (Oct. 7, 2018).

About Spartan Athletics
As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) in men's hockey and as an independent team in men's rugby. The men's and women's hockey programs will begin playing in Canada West and U SPORTS in 2020-21.
