LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western scored three second-half goals, rallying from a two-goal deficit to beat Langley United in Fraser Valley Soccer League action Friday at Willoughby Community Park.

Xander Roxburgh (Langley), who potted his first goal as a Spartan. Low scored the game-winner inside the final 10 minutes after capitalizing on a nifty cross into the box from first-year
Mikey Dale (Coquitlam, B.C.).

- The Spartans are now 2-0 in the FVSL after opening the season with a 2-1 win over Langley FC.
- With the Canada West soccer season cancelled due to COVID-19, the Spartans have joined the FVSL for the 2020-21 season.

"I thought we came out sluggish and not really into it in the first half. But I thought Langley played really well in the first half. We made a bunch of changes at halftime, which was the plan all along anyways to get everyone a bunch of time, and the boys came out well.
"In many ways, this league is exactly what we need during this time of development. It's an opportunity to play against a bunch of guys who have a lot of pride and who get stuck in. It's a good opportunity for our guys to learn what it means to play every minute of every game. Obviously we were disappointed in the first half, but that's a learning experience as well and I'm pleased we were able to respond and get the win."
