THE WEEKEND STORY
- TWU capped off its regular season on an eight-game win streak after road victories over Thompson Rivers. They concluded the season atop the conference standings with their best record ever at 22-2.
- They take on a Winnipeg side that finished eighth in the conference at 9-15, having gone 3-7 over its last 10 games.
- Spartans outside Hilary Howe (Calgary) and Avery Heppell will lead the TWU attack, as Howe ranked second in conference kills-per set (3.95) and Heppell second in hitting percentage (.348).
- The Spartans hold a 34-9 all-time record against the Wesmen, having won 31 games in a row overall (regular season and playoffs combined).
- TWU most recently defeated Winnipeg in a pair of straight sets wins during TWU's home opening weekend (Oct. 25-26).

About Spartan Athletics
As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) in men's hockey and as an independent team in men's rugby.
