SPARTANS BEAT CALGARY IN FOUR SETS

CALGARY – Trinity Western played at the Jack Simpson Gym on Saturday, beating Calgary 3-1 (25-20, 25-27, 25-19, 15-17) in their second game of the Dino-Cougar Tourney.
 
This victory extends TWU's unbeaten streak to five games, only dropping four sets throughout the duration of their preseason.

"Calgary played us really tough tonight. They were scrappy defensively, making us work hard, and serving well.
 
"The team adjusted well with the pressure Calgary put on us. We're learning how to play consistently throughout each set, and we're learning a lot about each other. Tonight was awesome."

The Spartans play their final preseason match on Sunday as they go up against Mount Royal at 9:30a.m. (MT).
