LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western guard
Tre Fillmore (Amarillo, Texas) is this week's Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after two impressive performances against Victoria over the weekend.
Fillmore wasted no time in getting to work in Friday's game, dropping his season-high of 23 points on efficient shooting splits of 7-16 from the field with 6-13 coming from 3-point range.
The fourth-year guard continued to shoot the ball well heading into Saturday night's tilt against the Vikes after scoring 16 points in the first half of the game. Fillmore was efficient in his 28 minutes played, scoring a total of 18 points on a stellar FG% of .538. Fillmore's night was highlighted by a spectacular reverse dunk off a fast break steal in the second quarter.
With Fillmore's two strongest performances of the season coming this past weekend, the Spartans look to be taking steps in the right direction as they head into their second bye-week in three weeks.
