KELOWNA, B.C. – Trinity Western fell 3-1 to UBC Okanagan on Saturday at Nonis Field.

TWU (5-5-2) were at odds early as two UBCO (3-4-2) goals in the first seven minutes put the Spartans down 2-0.

After earning his first assist in Canada West soccer on Friday, Jordan Low (Port Moody, B.C.) scored his first career goal on Saturday. Low scored TWU's only goal of the night.

TWU keeper Alexander Cordeiro (Burnaby, B.C.) stopped four of seven shots faced while UBCO's Ronan Woodroffe made saves on seven of eight TWU attempts.

AS IT HAPPENED
Jacobo Saenz Ramos and Alex Sol would score in the 4th and 7th minutes to give UBCO a 2-0 lead.

UBCO's lead increased to 3-0 in the 62nd minute.

Low would get the Spartans on the board in the 88th minute off a Luca Alberti (Burnaby, B.C.) feed.

QUOTABLE
Mike Shearon – TWU Head Coach

"Not our best day, our start killed us. We had several chances to get back into the game but didn't take them. Credit to UBCO and all they did to win the game today. We need to do some soul searching this week and regroup to get ready for an important weekend."

NOTABLE
• TWU is 7-5-4 all-time against the Heat. The Spartans have struggled getting points at UBCO in the past with their all-time record at Nonis Field being 2-4-1.
• UBCO and UFV now trail the Spartans by six points. Both teams hold two game in-hand over TWU.

UP NEXT TWU will take on UFV next weekend (Oct. 7th, Oct. 8th).
