EDMONTON – Jaidia Pisani (Sturgeon County, Alta.) scored 34 seconds into overtime to give the Trinity Western Spartans 2-1 victory over the MacEwan Griffins Saturday afternoon in Edmonton, Alta. The victory gives the Spartans a weekend split and improves their record to 5-5-0, while the loss drops the Griffins to 3-6-1 in Canada West conference play.
 
TWU's Amy Potomak (Aldergrove, B.C.) opened the scoring with a short-handed goal at 2:51 of the opening period. While MacEwan's Shyla Kirwer got the lone goal for the Griffins at 10:56 of the third period.
 
TWU's Mabel Maltais (Edmonton) made 29 saves to record the win for the Spartans, while Brianna Sank made 15 saves in the Griffins loss.
