QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"Pleased with the fact that we were able to come out on the road and play against a really stingy defensive team that made life a little tricky in the first half by being so compact. But in the end we generated four or five good chances, in a place that is not easy to play."
"A little disappointed that we weren't up by more than one goal at the half. We had two or three realy good balls into the box and didn't get on the end of them. Their keeper made a couple of really good point-blank saves. And then as the game wore on we had one or two more chances in the second half, but we again didn't have the finishing touch."
"It got a little bit desperate. Saskatchewan gave us a little bit of nerves in the last 10 minutes with some entries from some free kicks. And overall we withstood some pressure and managed the game and saw it out."
Comments on key performances:
"We had a really good performance from
Tilly James, who played as both a wide player and an outside back.
Jessica Vance was commanding again in her centre back role, and Sophie was lively early and got us some good chances."
"Our player of the game today was
Anna Dunn. With her work rate and intelligence. She kept us in possession, tried really hard to generate offence for us, but then put in a shift defensively when we moved her back into the midfield."
