SPARTANS DRAW 0-0 WITH THOMPSON RIVERS

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – No. 2 ranked Trinity Western took on a 0-0 draw against Thompson Rivers on Friday at Hillside Stadium.

Hannah Miller (Langley, B.C.) was perfect on the two shots TWU (5-1-1) faced all night while TRU (3-2-2) keeper Marissa Young stopped all four she faced.

The Spartans were able to edge TRU in both shots (10-6) and corner kicks (11-1), but TWU was unable to find the net – taking two offsides as well.

AS IT HAPPENED
Four shots from both the WolfPack and Spartans would provide no goals in the first half of action.

The Spartans would outshoot TRU 6-2 the rest of the way with an 88th minute offside call disallowing the TWU goal that would have sealed the victory.

NOTABLE
This result stands as TWU's only time dropping points to TRU through 10 games played. The Spartans now hold a 9-0-1 record against the WolfPack all-time. This is also TWU's first time being shut out by the Wolfpack.

UP NEXT
The Spartans will be heading to UBC Okanagan to play the Heat on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT.
