SASKATOON – Trinity Western suffered their second loss of the weekend to Saskatchewan at Physical Activity Complex on Saturday, falling 82-64.
TWU's (11-7) night was characterized by bad shooting. The Spartans shot 35.3 percent from the field, and 21.9 percent from 3-point range. The Huskies (5-11) were efficient from the field, shooting 50.8 percent in the game.
Connor Platz (Langley, B.C.) posted the most notable stat line for the Spartans, scoring 18 points while grabbing eight boards.
David Mutabazi (Delta, B.C.) also put together a double-double performance, scoring 13 points while grabbing a game-high of 11 rebounds.
AS IT HAPPENED
The Spartans started well, outscoring the Huskies 22-10 in the frame. This was TWU's only quarter that fell in their favour on Saturday.
Saskatchewan came out strong in the second quarter, ousting TWU 22-15 in the segment of play.
The Spartans struggled in the third quarter, falling 21-9 in the frame.
TWU could not overcome the Huskies in the fourth either, falling 29-18 in the final quarter to take their seventh loss of the season.
