WINNIPEG – A four-point performance for
Jeremy Klessens (Red Deer, Alta.) led Trinity Western's third period surge as the Spartans fell 7-6 to Winnipeg at Wayne Fleming Arena on Saturday.

In net, Spartans goaltender
Raphael Audet (Rimouski, Que.) stopped 18 of 25 to take his ninth loss of the season. On the other end, Simon Harkness stopped 25 of 31 for his first victory of the season.
In total, five Spartans put multi-point efforts together as
Jesse Pomeroy (Prince George, B.C.) and DuBois highlighted the bunch with three points each.
AS IT HAPPENED
The Bisons started hot, scoring three unanswered markers before TWU answered back with two of their own, ending the frame at 3-2 in favour of Manitoba.
Manitoba scored three more unanswered goals to begin the second period, which was interrupted by
Jarrett Penner's late goal to end it at 6-3 Manitoba.
The Spartans outscored the Bisons 3-1 in the final period, but their late surge wasn't enough, falling 7-6.
