QUOTABLE
Jean Laforest – TWU Head Coach
"It's the first time we've been in a playoff series and the learning curve is pretty steep. I think they learned quite a bit. They battled really well. Three games in three nights is tough. It was tight all the way through. They have a good program over there. In year two of our program, I'm really happy with what our team has done. Now the challenge is to continue to move forward. We've definitely learned what it's like to play in the playoffs.

"Looking back on the year, I think we definitely turned some heads in the first half of the season, after winning just two games all last year. In the second half, we lost a lot of one-goal games and I think that was something that was a challenge. Our offence wasn't as potent and we had some dry spells, but overall I have nothing but great things to say about our group. It's definitely a group that will live in the history of the program. They're the first one to make the playoffs and they got our first playoff win. Historically, this will be a group that will be looked upon a lot. I think overall, they've put our program where it needs to be."

Chelsea Debusschere (Lloydminster, Alta.) TWU player of the game
"I'm super proud of our team. I think we gave MRU pretty much everything we had. I wish that we could be taking on UBC next weekend but unfortunately that's not the case and I wish everyone else good luck.

"Looking back on the season, we definitely were up and down a bit. I think for the most part, there was a ton of growth. We're super young as a team and so I think we have a ton left in us.

"I think we definitely had to learn to overcome nerves in the playoffs. I haven't been in too many playoffs games personally, so even for myself, I was learning from the rookies and we were kind of all going through it together."
