LANGLEY, B.C. – The Trinity Western men's hockey team enters its third season in Canada West this fall, with the Spartans opening the 2023-24 season on the road against the defending CW champion Calgary Dinos (Oct. 6-7) before returning to Langley to for TWU's home-opening weekend Oct. 13-14 against Regina.
The Spartans fall schedule has TWU playing a home-and-home with local rival UBC Oct. 19 (at the Langley Events Centre) and Oct. 21 (at UBC) before back-to-back road trips to play Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
After a hosting MacEwan Nov. 10-11, the Spartans will face a stiff stretch of competition in which the Spartans will play each of the top five teams in last year's CW standings. TWU will travel to play Mount Royal (3rd in the CW standings) Nov. 10-11 before returning to Langley to play Calgary (1st) Dec. 1-2. Following the Christmas break, TWU is on the road against Alberta (2nd) Jan. 5-6, home to Saskatchewan (5th) Jan. 12-13 before a home-and-home series with UBC (4th) Jan. 18-19.
After series with Manitoba (at home Jan. 26-27) and Regina (on the road Feb. 2-3), TWU wraps up the regular season at home against traditional CW power Alberta Feb. 9-10.
This year's U SPORTS Championship is Mar. 15-18 at Toronto Metropolitan University.
