Box Score VANCOUVER – Trinity Western's Christian Lowe (Port Moody, B.C.) scored the Spartans only goal in a 6-1 loss to UBC in preseason action Saturday at Father David Bauer Arena. 

After a 4-3 loss to the T-Birds at home on Friday night, the Saturday night rematch was a more tilted contest, with UBC outshooting the Spartans 36-14.

Spartans goalie Raphael Audet (Rimouski, Que.) made 36 saves, while UBC netminder Cole Schwebius stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced.

Mikol Sartor (Winnipeg) had the only assist on the Spartan goal, which came with four minutes left in the third period.

UBC's Sam Huo scored twice, while Carson Miller, Scott Atkinson, Jake Lee and Sasha Mutala added singles.

"I thought UBC played well and they gave us a lot to handle tonight. I thought our guys didn't have a ton of jump early and we paid for it. We definitely have lots to work on, but we're looking forward to getting back at it on Monday."

NOTABLE
•    TWU was 0 for 5 on the power play, while UBC was 2 for 7. 
•    The Spartans went 1-2 in preseason, having earned a win over Simon Fraser University, but lost twice to UBC.

The Spartans will now prepare for their season-opening weekend Oct. 6-7 on the road against the Calgary Dinos.
