LANGLEY, British Columbia – The No. 7 Trinity Western Spartans struggled throughout the match to find their game as they fell 3-0 to the UBC Okanagan Heat Saturday afternoon at the Langley Events Centre – Building B in Langley, B.C. The 25-23, 25-16, 25-19 loss drops the Spartans to 5-3, while the win improves the Heat to 3-3.
The Spartans never found their attacking rhythm and couldn't slow the Heat down throughout the match as TWU finished the night hitting at .087 (35-27-92), while UBCO finished the night at .369 (39-8-84).

Maryn Boldon (Okotoks, Alta.) with 11 kills, 9 digs, and two blocks, fourth-year middle
Kaylee Plouffe (Sherwood Park, Alta.) with 9 kills, one ace, and three digs, third-year outside
Faye Murray (Rosenort, Man.) with seven kills, and second-year middle
Isabella Stothart (Airdrie, Alta.) with five kills, and five blocks led the Spartans. Olivia Boulding with 12 kills, three digs, and three blocks, and Amaya Perry with 21 kills, seven digs, and three service aces led the Heat.
TWU fourth-year libero
Mikayla McBain (Burlington, Ont.) led all players with 12 digs.
First-year setter
Tayana Dmitruk (Surrey, B.C.) ran the Spartans' attack and finished with 32 set assists, while Kylan Finseth led the Heat attack and finished with 30 set assists.
