BROOKSVILLE, Florida – Trinity Western's Zion White led the Spartans on the second day of the Florida Collegiate Classic with a +3 (867 round rating) in singles play, which was good enough to put her in a tie for second overall Sunday at the Olympus Disc Golf Course.

Combined with Hannah Porter's round of +6 (840 round rating), the pair, who are competing as a team this weekend, posted an average score of +5 to lift them from fourth place into a tie for second place in the overall standings going into Monday's final round. 

With their score of -9 on Saturday playing best-shot doubles, Porter and White sit at -4 and seven strokes behind the leaders from Emporia State University. 

Meanwhile, Joyce Leung and Verity White combined for a +14 and are now sixth overall with a +9 through two rounds. 

Verity White was +13 with a personal best round rating of 777 while Leung was +14 (768 round rating).

The third and final round is Monday with the teams competing in doubles again.

Playing with a few of the top teams in College Disc Golf, it gives us the opportunity to see how we match up, and more importantly, the parts of our game that needs work in preparation for the National Championships is South Carolina in April.
