QUOTABLE
Peter Hay, TWU Head Coach
"Two good teams playing hard, not surprised it went down to a shootout. I really liked how our girls didn't panic in the third period as we played consistently and together, playing the right way. We played confidently and supported pucks well. We didn't force anything and waited until we got an opportunity, which, in this case, was overtime, almost scoring twice, and finally ending it in a shoot-out. Huge victory for us over an excellent MRU team. Really proud of our goaltending again, as Davy was outstanding, especially in the shootout. Boon has really become our shootout specialist, scoring the game-winner again. Overall, a great team effort, but we have a quick turnaround tomorrow. We need to be ready and play the first period like we finished off the game in the third."
AS IT HAPPENED
All the scoring took place in the second period with McDonald opening the scoring at 10:52 to put TWU up 1-0. MRU's McNinch would then tie the game at 16:18.
