SPARTAN MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK I CONNOR FARREN

LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western second-year forward Connor Farren (Cloverdale, B.C.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week, after the Spartans' two losses to the No.1 UBC Thunderbirds this past weekend.
 
On Thursday night, the sports management student scored two goals on four shots in the Spartans' 4-2 loss to the No. 1 Thunderbirds at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
 
Farren and the Spartans will now take a break for Christmas. TWU's next games are on the road against the MacEwan Griffins. The games at the Downtown Community Arena in Edmonton, Alta are scheduled for 7 p.m. (MT) and 3 p.m. (MT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as in the NAIA in track and field and cross country and as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf. Since TWU entered U SPORTS in 1999, the Spartans have won 14 U SPORTS team championships and 33 Canada West team championships.
