CHILLIWACK, B.C. – Trinity Western lost its final game of the 2024-25 season, falling 4-0 against No. 4-ranked Mount Royal Saturday afternoon at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
In a game featuring two teams going in opposite directions – TWU's season came to an end after finishing the year with a 3-22-2-1 record and MRU is heading to the postseason as the top team in the West Division – the Cougars scored three first period goals to set the stage to pick up their 22nd win of the year.
A second period MRU goal put the Cougars ahead 4-0 and the visitors held TWU off the scoreboard the rest of the game.
Jusin Lies, Blake Stevenson, Tristan Zandee and Robbie Fromm-Delorme scored for the Cougars.
MRU's Harmon Laser-Hume stopped all 14 shots he faced to pick up the shutout.
TWU's
Raphael Audet made 37 saves on 41 shots.
The Cougars were 1 for 7 on the power play, while TWU was 0 for 4.
