SPARTANS FALL TO ALBERTA IN WEST COAST CLASSIC FINAL

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western lost a five-set battle with defending Canada West champion Alberta, falling 23-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-13 in the final of the West Coast Classic Sunday morning at the Langley Events Centre. 

After beating Fraser Valley in the quarter-final and taking out the defending U SPORTS champion Manitoba Bisons in the semifinal, the Spartans fell to the Pandas in a hard-fought final.

UP NEXT 
The Spartans open the Canada West regular season Oct. 16 in Abbotsford, B.C. against Fraser Valley before TWU's home-opener Oct. 17 at the Langley Events Centre.
