GAINESVILLE, Florida – Trinity Western's Justin Kiplagat qualified for the final in the mile at the NAIA Indoor Championships, cruising to a time of 4:17.03 Friday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center.
In TWU's first-ever NAIA Indoor Championships, Kiplagat will run in the mile final Saturday at 12:35 p.m. (ET) / 9:35 a.m. (PT).
Earlier this year, Kiplagat ran a season's best and TWU record time of 4:02.42 at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle.
Teammate
Yemane Mulugeta is the only other Spartan competing in Gainesville this weekend, as he will run in the 3000m Saturday at 3:15 p.m. (ET) / 12:15 p.m. (PT).
