PARADISE VALLEY, Arizona – It was a record-setting day in Arizona for Trinity Western's
Favour Adeyanju and
Danny Earles, who both took down long-standing Spartans marks, with Adeyanju setting a new record in the 100m at 10.57 and Earles clocking a best-ever time of 21.11 in the 200m Thursday at the Altis Spring Tune-Up.
Adeyanju bettered the previous Spartans record of 10.59, which was set by James Linde April 3, 2015. Not long after, Earles joined Adeyanju in the TWU record books, as he also knocked Linde from the top spot in the 200m, with Linde having run 21.17 May 1, 2014.
On the women's side, Sheleena Wiley finished second in long jump with a wind-aided leap of 6.23m – a mark that, if legal, would have her just nine centimetres shy of Sabrina Nettey's TWU record of 6.32m.
UP NEXT
TWU will compete in the UNLV Rebel ELITE event in Las Vegas Friday and Saturday.
