LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western Flanker/8-man Bernard Bjorndal (Abbotsford, BC) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after a solid all-around match in a loss to the now No. 4 Victoria Vikes Friday afternoon at the Stadium at Langley Events Centre.
 
In Friday's 45-24 loss to the Vikes, the second-year natural science student scored two tries on nine carries, beat three defenders, and added a lineout steal.
 
After a week off, Bjorndal and the No. 7 Spartans men's rugby team will continue Coastal Cup action on Friday, October 2, when they host the No. 2 UBC Thunderbirds. The match at The Stadium at the LEC is set for 7 p.m. (PT) and will be shown live on the CBC Sports YouTube channel.
