LANGLEY, British Columbia – In this week's Top 10 rankings, the Spartans men's rugby team are the only TWU team in the national rankings. The Spartans (0-3) remain at No. 7 in the Canadian university men's rugby rankings after a solid performance against the No. 2 UBC Thunderbirds (3-0). The Victoria Vikes (1-1) are No. 3.
This past weekend, the Spartans delivered one of their best performances against UBC, but fell to the Thunderbirds 42-21. TWU outscored UBC 21-14 in the second half, though a 28-point halftime deficit was too much to overcome.
The No. 7 Spartans men's rugby team will continue Coastal Cup action on Saturday, October 10, when they will travel to Victoria to take on the Vikes. Match time at Wallace Field is set for 2:30 p.m. (PT).
