Nick Perugini, who is a distinguished Spartans men’s soccer alum, joined TWU as an assistant coach in 2018, returning to the school where he was a standout player from 2003 to 2007. As a player he capped his university career as the U SPORTS MVP in 2007 and was recognized as an All-Canadian in four of his five years as a Spartan. With Perugini, the Spartans won three straight Canada West championships (2005-2007) and two U SPORTS medals (silver in 2006 and bronze in 2005).

Prior to coming to TWU, Perugini spent his teenage years playing within the academy system for French Division 2 side Chamois Niortais FC. His highest level of play was for the Canadian junior national team where he played with both the U17 and U20 programs. Closer to home, Perugini also won a provincial championship with the Surrey United Firefighters in 2011.

Along with coaching the Spartans, Perugini is also the Assistant Technical Director with Surrey United SC. Perugini has a CSA B National License.
