LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western forward Charity Field (Burnaby, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching two goals to help the Spartans to two ties this past weekend at Chase Office Field. 

  
On Friday night the fourth year had five shots in the Spartans 1-1 draw with the Victoria Vikes. 
  
Then on Saturday night Field was instrumental in the Spartans 2-2 tie with the Mount Royal Cougars as she finished with five total shots while scoring both goals for Trinity Western. Including the game tying goal in extra time. 
  
The No. 3 ranked Spartans are now 2-0 after the weekend and will host the Victoria Vikes and the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend. Match times at Chase Office Field are set for 5 p.m. (PT) on Friday against the Vikes, and 6:00 p.m. (PT) Saturday against the Cougars. Both games can be seen live on Candawest.tv. 

Trinity Western will now head on the road for games against UBC and UNBC next weekend. The Spartans will play the Thunderbirds on Friday, September 20 at 5 p.m. (PT) at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, B.C. and Timberwolves on Sunday, September 22 at 12 p.m. (PT) at Masich Place Stadium in Prince George, B.C.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf.
