LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western outside Maryn Boldon (Okotoks, Alta.) has been named the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week. Boldon had with 31 kills, 14 digs, and three aces to help lead the Spartans to a weekend road sweep against the MacEwan Griffins in Edmonton, Alta.
On Friday night the Human Kinetics student helped lead the Spartans to a 3-0 win with 12 kills, 10 digs, and one ace. Then on Saturday night, in the Spartans 3-2 win, Boldon finished with 19 kills, two aces, and two blocks.
Boldon and the 2-0 Spartans will now match-up with the Brandon Bobcats in their Canada West home opener on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26. The Friday match starts at 5 p.m. (PT) and the Saturday match is set for 4 p.m. (PT) at the Langley Events Centre. Both matches can be seen live on Canada West TV.
