LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western third-year keeper Yasmine Pahal (Surrey, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Spartans, with 10 saves and a shutout, to two wins this past weekend against the Thompson Rivers WolfPack and the UBC Okanagan Heat at Chase Office Field in Langley, B.C.
 
On Friday night, in the Spartans' 2-1 win, the psychology student made five saves and a .800 save percentage in a 2-1 victory over the Thompson Rivers WolfPack. Then on Saturday, Pahal made two great saves and a PK save for five total saves to earn a shutout 1-0 win over the UBC Okanagan Heat.
 
Pahal and the Spartans will now head on the road for a doubleheader at the UNBC Timberwolves on October 3 and October 5 in Prince George, B.C.  Game time is set for 6 p.m. (PT) and 12 p.m. (PT) kickoffs, and the game can be seen live on CanadaWest.TV.
