LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western third-year heptathlete Dajean Clarke (Langley, B.C.) is the Spartans Male Athlete of the Week after winning a Canada West gold medal and setting a TWU record in the men’s heptathlon this past weekend at the Saskatoon Fieldhouse in Saskatoon, Sask.

The human kinetics student took top spot with 5,010 points, breaking his own TWU record by two points (5,008), which he set while winning last year’s CW conference championship.

As a team, TWU's men finished seventh, with 21 points. With TWU now competing in NAIA for indoor and outdoor track and field, the Spartans sent just eight athletes to the Canada West Championships this year.

Clarke and the rest of the TWU athletes who are competing in U SPORTS will now be heading to Winnipeg, Man., for the U SPORTS championships on March 5-7.
