LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western's No. 2-ranked men's volleyball team (9-3) will host the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack (7-5) Friday and Saturday at the Langley Events Centre. After coming off what was only their second and third losses of the season two weeks ago in Brandon, the Spartans will look to get back into the win column, playing on home court for first time since December 1.

THE WEEKEND STORY
• The last time the Spartans were on the court, they lost back-to-back three-set matches against now No. 1-ranked Brandon.
• Prior to that, the last time they lost back-to-back three-setters was Oct. 30-31, 2015 on the road against Saskatchewan. That season, the Spartans went on to win both the Canada West and U SPORTS championships.
• TWU beat the WolfPack in three sets in both of its regular season meetings last season.
• The Spartans travelled to Kamloops in preseason where they split their weekend series with the WolfPack.
• The last time TRU visited the Spartans was Jan. 13-14, 2017 when TWU earned back-to-back 3-0 wins.
• Third-year Eric Loeppky (Steinbach, Man.) leads TWU with 3.90 kills per set (3rd in Canada West), is first in the conference with 0.65 service aces per set and second in CW with a .371 hitting percentage.
• Second-year Derek Epp (Saskatoon) is second in Canada West with 10.64 assists per set.
• After winning seven straight matches and improving its record to 7-1, the WolfPack enters this weekend have lost four games in a row. However, the losses came against No. 3-ranked Mount Royal and No. 6 Alberta.
