ROBERTSON HONOURED WITH COMPLETE CHAMPION AWARD

LANGLEY, B.C. – Jenaya Robertson (Delta, B.C) is a winner of the Complete Champion Award – the most prestigious honour a Spartan athlete can earn over his or her career at TWU.

Robertson, who was named the Spartans Female Athlete of the Year for 2019-20, will go down as one of the best women's soccer players in Spartans history. She capped her on-field career by being named the Canada West and U SPORTS Player of the Year after setting the TWU single-season goal-scoring record with 14 regular season markers. She also leaves TWU as the only midfielder in the Canada West top 10 for goal-scoring.

She finished her time with TWU as a two-time Canada West Champion and a two-time Canada West silver medallist, having played in the conference final in four of her five seasons. She also owns three U SPORTS medals, having won silver twice (2015 and 2018) and bronze once (2017) on the national stage.

Robertson has twice been an Academic All-Canadian and in her senior year and is on her way to being recognized for a third time. While at TWU, Robertson experienced a life-changing a faith journey that saw her commit her life to Christ in her third year while on a missions and service trip to Paraguay and Peru. Since then, she has grown tremendously in her faith and has become a spiritual leader within the women's soccer program. Over her five years, Robertson has developed personally and as leader within the team, the Spartans Athletic Department and the TWU community. A model of consistent servant-leadership both on and off the field, Robertson is a Complete Champion in the truest sense of the term.
