QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Ryan Hofer
"I'm really proud of our team's effort today. We really struggling in the first set at losing 16-25. But in the second set we were able to come back to win even though we were down eight points at the break. It showed a lot of heart from our players to battle back. We had good all-around team chemistry in the match. We played around with different line some different looks. So the result was a great start to the tournament against a really talented team. We are looking forward to tomorrow's match and moving forward in the tournament.
On his players:
"A big shout out to
Ansah Odoom (3
rd year, outside) and
Emma Gamache (3
rd year, libero) for their defensive effort. They just really inspiring our team to just not back down.
Olivia Heinen (4
th year, setter) played great she just tore around the court and did a really nice job of delivering the ball getting her hands on it, and getting it up there so that we could make good swings."
