LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western won 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-14) over UBC Okanagan in Friday's game at the Langley Events Centre.
Â
This was the first time TWU's men's volleyball team has been able to play in front of their home crowd since beating Alberta 3-0 in the Canada West Championships on Mar. 7
th, 2020.
QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Ben Josephson
"The team played clean tonight. There was one phase in which we didn't serve the way we wanted to, but serving is one of those things we talk about a lot, and work on a lot too.
Â
"Our block to transition phase was great tonight. Some of the things we worked on over the past couple of weeks showed tonight as we want to attack with speed, and make disciplined shots. Our receivers held up well, giving our setters a chance to run.
Â
"Lots of guys got to play ball today. Everyone got better tonight. Good to have a crowd back, and good to have people excited about volleyball. We're really excited to see what kind of adjustments are made for tomorrow's game."
