LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western defeated Thompson Rivers in straight sets on Friday to win their fourth preseason match of the 2021-22 season.

The Spartans are a perfect 4-0 in preseason.
QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Ben Josephson
"All sets were in the 20's, so it was close. Preseason volleyball brings some great plays and some that need to be cleaned up.
Â
"TRU showed a lot of heart on the defensive end, making it really hard for us to score. I thought we did a good job in our block phase, but not our side-out phase. We leaned heavily on our point-scoring players to bail us out.
Â
"Not pumped about the performance but I love that we have more video, and that we had an opponent expose us for the things that aren't good enough to have in Canada West. That's what this whole thing is about."

The Spartans are back at home for another preseason match on Saturday, playing Fraser Valley at 7p.m.
