SPARTANS DROP FOUR-SETTER AGAINST USC

LOS ANGELES – With a young lineup on the floor, the Trinity Western men's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 23-25, 16-25) decision against USC in the Spartans second match of the SAC Tournament at UCLA.

The Spartans are now 2-1 in California, having started the trip with wins over Pepperdine and UC Santa Barbara.

QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Ben Josephson
"It was a good battle. We played pretty well in the first set, but USC made some adjustments and they started playing at a way higher level. Their serving improved as well and our passers had a hard time in some sections. Then late, their attacking really got going. The lesson we talked about is that as long as the score doesn't show 25, we still have a chance to compete. I don't know that we squeezed every point out of that game competing at the level we want to compete at."
