QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Cheryl Jean-Paul
"We had some great stretches and battled hard, but Winnipeg is a team of momentum and runs and we didn't respond well to the pressure they impose on a team defensively and in transition. It was a great learning opportunity for everyone, from our vets to our rookies about what it will take to have success in this league so looking forward to learning from this moving into this next month of pre-season."

UP NEXT
The Spartans will now have a couple of weeks of practice before heading to Toronto to compete in the Female Empowerment Festival October 20-22 where the Spartans will play the York Lions, the Toronto Varsity Blues, and the Concordia Stingers.
