KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Trinity Western University's men's volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18) win over Thompson Rivers at the WolfPack Invitational Friday.
The Spartans improved to 2-0 in exhibition play after beating Calgary in three sets the day before.
QUOTABLE
Adam Schriemer – Interim Co-Head Coach
"I thought both teams played really aggressive and you could tell that with the serving. Because of that there were a lot of serving errors, which made it tough for both teams to find a lot of flow. I thought we got a lot better in a lot of different phases as the match went on. I think the highlight of the game was getting to see
Jesse Elser (Calgary) getting to play outside again. I was also really proud of our depth. We used a lot of guys and we saw players like
Kaden Schmidt (Mississauga, Ont.) and
Kyden Dmitruk (Surrey, B.C.) get a lot of experience in their first Canada West exhibition matches.
Tyson Hofer (Langley) did a good job coming off the bench and serving well. We have another big one tomorrow against the school out West to wrap up the tournament."
