SPARTANS MAKE IT FOUR IN A ROW

LANGLEY, British Columbia– Led by Nicole Fransson's (Edmonton) 23 points the Trinity Western Spartans earned their fourth win of the season with a solid 67-55 victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. But, the Spartans broke the game in the second quarter, with a 21-11 run to take a 40-28 lead into the half-time break. QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Cheryl Jean-Paul
""The ask from yesterday's game was to start the game today with the same defensive intensity and enthusiasm as we showed in the second half yesterday. It is such a different game when you are forcing your opponent to chase you for forty minutes then when you are the one that is chasing, and trying to get back in the game with some really fantastic offensive and defensive plays."

"Part of our game plan yesterday was to play a second half so that they feel it the next day, and I thought that that is what we did. It was really nice to see that defensive mindset of keeping our lead double digits, which we have struggled with in the past."

"It was nice to have the ability to get other people onto the floor because of the defensive intensity that allowed us to maintain a double-digit lead. It is so important for younger players to get even a little bit of game experience to keep building on, and I think that the starters did the work that they needed to do to help others get the game experience that they are going to need down the line."
