SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Trinity Western University heptathlete Brandon Gremaud (Kamloops, B.C.) set personal bests in each of his first three events, including the 60m, long jump and shot put, before rounding out the four-event first day in fifth overall, with 2,687 points at the 2022 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships, presented by Saint John LNG, at the Irving Oil Field House.

Gremaud, who finished sixth overall at the Canada West Championships, is 44 points ahead of his Day 1 total from the conference meet.

On the track, the men's 4x200m team earned a spot in the final with a time of 1:31.09, which was good for seventh overall. The team finished fifth at the Canada West Championship. Saturday's final is set for 2:25 p.m. (AT).
