SPARTANS FALL TO UBC

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Trinity Western fell 3-1 to UBC at the Thunderbird Stadium on Friday.
 
TWU's (3-1-1) lone goal was scored Thomas Powell (Coquitlam, B.C.) to tie UBC (2-1-0) before the half while Alex Cordeiro (Burnaby, B.C.) stopped five of the eight shots he faced.

AS IT HAPPENED
After Daniel Kaiser opened the match up for UBC in the fifth minute, an answer from the Spartans would come in the 43rd as Powell tucked a penalty shot home.
 
The Thunderbirds would end up running away with the match, scoring two goals to bring the match to a close.

NOTABLE
• The Spartans still sit atop the Pacific division with 10 points.
 
UP NEXT
The Spartans will head to Victoria to take on the Vikes on Saturday (7:15 p.m. PT).
