QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Cheryl Jean-Paul
"We had a really good week of preparation. One of the main points we had was it had to be us versus them and not individual matchups or individual player-focused. I thought that we moved the ball really well, but understood the assignments in getting other people their best looks. Everybody who stepped onto the floor tonight was able to give the contribution that we expected from them tonight, whether it was a tipped pass, a deflection, a rebound, or a great scoring look. We are going to need to continue that trend to have success this year, where it isn't on any one person to get the job done but a group collective. And if we keep playing with that mindset we are going to be tough to play against."
"Every time they pushed, we were a little shaky at times, but we didn't completely lose our balance. I thought Shemaiah and Jayden did a great job when things started to get tight they were able to get us a good scoring look. Their maturity with the ball in their hands allows us to have other people on the floor with less experience. It is always going to be a good thing when they can find people for easy scoring looks and they can then finish those with confidence."
