QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Peter Hay
"An extremely strong team effort tonight in a very hard-fought battle. We won the special teams with a goal and great penalty kills. The team bought into the system and every player contributed in their own way. We kept UBC to the outside with perimeter shots and no high-danger situations. We came together and played the right way, which is a result of a week of good training and our process is in a good place. This game is a reflection of how hard the team is working on and off the ice. I'm proud of this group, they have come a long way and they are going to be a hard team to beat this season."
On standout performances:
"We had strong games from
Chloe Reid who scored our opening goal and
Ella Boon (second-year, defence, Vandoorhoof, B.C.) who played a very strong game on the back end, and
Mabel Maltais who played extremely well in net."
